Things To Do In Our Town

I thought I would share a few of our favorite places in town!

First, COFFEE! After all, it is the most important meal of the day. We have 2 local coffee shops that we love to visit.

First thing we do is get coffee. After all, it is the most important meal of the day! Our top two local coffee shops are Bluff Town Mercantile and Foxtrot. If you are downtown, Foxtrot is a great option. The inside is a cozy place to sit and enjoy your drink before walking around downtown. If you are looking for good coffee to grab while you shop, then we like to grab Mercantile. You can browse and shop while your coffee is being made!

Next thing we like to do, is shop! Poplar Bluff has grown so much that we have many options for shopping when we are out. We like to start in the Valley Plaza shopping center! There, our top favorites are Hobby Lobby, Marshalls, and now Carters! Then we drive just up the road to Mansion Mall. There we visit Goodwill and Ollie’s. Our final stop is usually on the north end of town. Ross, Five Below, Shoe Carnival, and Academy, all are there together.

I don’t know about you, but shopping makes me hungry! We have a list of terrific restaurant options:

  • Bread and Butter is a great option if you are wanting a menu with some variety. We have never been disappointed with their food and the aesthetic makes it a great brunch spot!

  • Bluff Town Cravings is a bakery, deli, and bistro. Excellent options for a Saturday lunch spot!

  • We love the many choices our town offers in lieu of Mexican cuisine. If you want a sit down option, Casa Grande or Mayas are great options. One of my favorites is Taco Taco because I can tell them what I want as they make it.

  • Now if we are really wanting pasta then Fazoli’s is our go to! Their breadsticks and pizza slices that you get with each meal are so good!

  • If we get lucky, sometimes we will catch a food truck in town!

We are homebodies but love being able to go out and appreciate all the options Poplar Bluff has to offer!
