I Love Fall
Give me all the fall things… Coffee, pumpkins, leaves, cool weather, sweaters, and cozy blankets.
I have a heat allergy, so that is reason enough to hate the hot months. However, I have a little boy that loves to be outside and loves playing in the water so I soak up the warm months with him, but ask my husband and he will tell you I usually start asking him to get the fall decorations out on August 1st. Now this year I did wait until August 7th but in my defense, my son LOVES pumpkins so I wasn’t going to deny the boy pumpkins.
This year has had its ups and downs so I am looking forward to changing leaves and crisp, cool air. Having a backyard is a blessing and I plan on taking full advantage of time outside with my boy.
With a toddler that loves pumpkins but can climb anything he sets his mind to, I try to keep my décor simple and minimal. To start with, we got rid of breakable pumpkins that were within reach and invested in soft pumpkins. It means they won’t always be where I put them but they can’t be broken so it works for us!
We let him pick some pumpkins that he could keep in his room and got a fun woodland animal treehouse to build together that he could keep on his bookshelf. All of the pumpkins in the main part of the house are either velvet or have fur on them aside from what I keep on the kitchen counter.
One thing I am a sucker for when it comes to fall décor is mugs! I love finding unique mugs to use for lattes. I am ordering this one that I found because I don’t have one like it!
